- DON’T BE A DICK. This is the most important rule. You can mess with NPC’s, destroy towns, do basically whatever you want to do, but being a dick to another player character to the point of it not being fun will lead to a quick painful death of your character. This can include but not limited to always trying to steal stuff from their pouches, trying to kill them in their sleep, cutting off an arm in the middle of the night, pushing them into a iron maiden as a joke etc. You have been warned.
Have fun. This ranks right up with #1. If you are not finding the game fun talk to me. Let me know what we can change to make it better for you. I will try to accommodate if possible.
- The rules in the book are a guideline. There are many times when I may just make stuff up to roll with what your characters are doing. Right or wrong if it sounds cool and fun I will usually allow it in some capacity. If I get a ruling or stat roll or something along those line wrong feel free to correct me but there is a good chance that I may just roll with the original decision if I think it will be cool or fun.
- Role playing and describing your actions will usually result in a better chance of success then just rolling dice. If you are trying to talk a guard into letting you into that castle a roll could decide it but if you actually give a good argument to the guard there is a good possibility your roll will be easier or I will just give it to you. Same goes for doing cool stuff in battles you want to swing from the chandeliers and do a spinning blade twirl into the middle of a bunch of enemies. The better you describe it the better your chance of success. On this same note you can woo anyone you want but any sexy times etc. will not be described in any intricate detail it will mostly be a fade to black sort of thing. Otherwise it becomes awkward and not very much fun for the other players.
- Characters can die. I will not pull punches to keep your characters alive. I will usually give warnings about areas being too dangerous etc but if you decide to continue on anyway. There is a good possibility you will run across a monster that is way higher then your levels if you decide to stand and fight, death will probably come quickly. It is an open world you can go wherever you want but that also means that there are monsters around the world that you really do not want to face at lower levels.
